Ce matin du 19 f\u00e9vrier, dans le cadre de notre atelier sur les femmes dans la Premi\u00e8re Guerre<\/i>, nous quittons assez t\u00f4t notre \u00e9tablissement, pour nous rendre au ch\u00e2teau franco-am\u00e9ricain de Bl\u00e9rancourt, \u00e0 quelques kilom\u00e8tres de Soissons.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Nous sommes rejoints, dans ce voyage, par Nicole Fouch\u00e9 et Catherine Chadefaud de l\u2019association REFH (R\u00e9ussir l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 femmes-hommes<\/i>) que nous avions rencontr\u00e9es quelques jours plus t\u00f4t, lors de leurs interventions dans nos classes sur le r\u00f4le jou\u00e9 par les marraines et\u202f les filleules de guerre lors de ce premier conflit majeur du XXe si\u00e8cle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Madame Fouch\u00e9 nous pr\u00e9sente, durant ce long p\u00e9riple, une richissime philanthrope am\u00e9ricaine, une certaine Anne Tracy Morgan (1873-1952) dont nous ignorions jusqu\u2019alors l\u2019existence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A notre arriv\u00e9e, deux conf\u00e9renci\u00e8res nous font visiter le ch\u00e2teau de ce charmant petit village de l\u2019Aisne et, petit \u00e0 petit, nous d\u00e9couvrons l\u2019incroyable femme qu\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 Anne Morgan qui y s\u00e9journa pendant plusieurs ann\u00e9es.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Elle y fonda, en 1917, le Comit\u00e9 Am\u00e9ricain pour les R\u00e9gions D\u00e9vast\u00e9es (C.A.R.D.), institution charg\u00e9e d\u2019aider les civils et les sinistr\u00e9s de la Premi\u00e8re Guerre. Cette organisation employait plus de 350 femmes et intervenait dans de nombreux domaines (loisirs, \u00e9ducation, sant\u00e9, logement, etc).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Les actions de cette illustre femme lui valurent d\u2019\u00eatre d\u00e9cor\u00e9e de la L\u00e9gion d\u2019honneur en 1924.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Elle n\u2019h\u00e9sita pas, lors de la Seconde Guerre, parfois au p\u00e9ril de sa vie, \u00e0 revenir en France, \u00e0 entretenir des liens tr\u00e8s forts avec la R\u00e9sistance et \u00e0 aider de nouveau les populations civiles de notre pays.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Nous comprenons progressivement \u00e0 quel point cette femme joua un r\u00f4le de premier ordre, malheureusement encore trop peu connu de nos jours.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Nous tenons \u00e0 remercier l\u2019association REFH pour son soutien dans notre atelier d\u2019accompagnement personnalis\u00e9 tout au long de cette ann\u00e9e ainsi que pour nous avoir permis de d\u00e9couvrir cette Am\u00e9ricaine qui consacra une longue partie de sa vie \u00e0 aider la France.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
